It all began in 1999 when I was working for Thomas Wolsey School in Suffolk.

I was supporting teachers and health professionals across Suffolk and was promoting the use of Clicker 4 and some other software. I placed tutorials and tips on the Thomas Wolsey website so that my trainees could refer to this information after coming for training.

I spent a lot of my spare time adding more tips and tutorials on to the site until eventually it became an entity in its own right.

In April 2003 I launched senit.org for the first time with plenty of content around using computers in special schools.

It had reviews of hardware and loads of tutorials for popular software.

Senit.org had a bit of a facelift in early 2004...

A lot of new content had been added and I was trying to find a way to let people know it was there.

... but in the summer a whole new interface was unveiled - based on CSS for layout rather than Tables. It was sharper, clearer and more accessible.

It featured many pictures of my cats.

The launch of Better Living Through Technology came in January 2006.

The cats might have gone but they've been replaced by loads of new content, including a whole new section for people with dyslexia.
