3D Snake is an slightly addictive, although rather frustrating game, designed for people with little or no sight. It is based on the old Snake game that regained popularity recently when it appeared on many Nokia mobile phones.
The idea of the game is to move a snake around a walled-in area collecting fruit. Each time you collect a piece of fruit another appears at a random place within the area and you have to find it. If you crash into a wall then you've had it! As each piece of fruit is collected the movement of the snake gets faster and so quickly starts getting much more difficult. The game has no visual display whatsoever and uses stereo sound to guide your around the playing field and towards the fruit.
The walls a represented by the daunting sound of rushing wind that gets increasingly louder the closer you get to them. The fruit is represented by a slightly annoying 'bing bing bing' noise that is netherless clear and easy to track.
If you do well you can submit your score to the hi-score table on the PB-Games website (although you'll get laughed at if you try to submit a score that doesn't make the top twenty!).
This is more of a 'challenge' than a game as nothing happens differently from one play to another except the position of the fruit. Having said that it is very well made, the voice-overs are good fun and it's well worth the challenge.
